In 2020 I followed the course applied game design, in this course one of our first assignments was to make a 2D game to practice witch the Unity engine.
The core mechanics from this game where walk, jump and launch. The goal of the game was to get from point A to Point B using a self-launch mechanic. When you are on the ground you can click and drag to aim your character and launch them to another platform.
My inspiration for this mechanic was from Ori and the blind forest where you could launch your self from enemies and projectiles.
I did everything from code to art for this game, I used Illustrator for the art and the Unity engine for development, the code is written in C#.
